Playoffs 1st Round

11/6: 8th Graders defeated Guilford 32-8.

11/5: Noah Pastore ran for 1st and 4th quarter touchdowns, but Southington rallied twice in the fourth quarter to tie and then beat North Haven's 5th grade Indians by a score of 13-12.

Week 9

10/23: In a battle of undefeated 7-0 teams, North Haven's 6th grade defeated Madison in dominating fashion to claim the #1 seed in next week's SYF playoffs. After a scoreless first quarter, Jake Bencivengo ran in a 12 yard touchdown and Steven Erbe kicked 2-pt PAT to put the Indians up 8-0. On the last play of 2nd, Mark Montano grabbed a tipped pass and returned it the other way for a 60 yard TD to put North Haven up 14-0 at the half. Defense dominated the second half as neither team could score, but as time was running out, Madison went for a 4th and long in their own end and were stuffed, and North Haven converted with another short TD run by Bencivengo. Montano kicked the 2 point PAT to make the final score 22-0.

Week 8

10/16: NH 5th grade defeated East Haven 26-14. Kevin Anasoulis scored a T.D. on 2 yd. and 4 yd. runs. Kevin Brokemar recovered a 30 yd. kick on the kick off team, while Nick Dodge had an interception on defense as well as Alex Ciaburro who returned it for a 55 yd. T.D. Kevin Spencer, Michael Collins, James Brennan, Eli Doheny, Jack Peruso and Vincent Depalma all played well on defense. The offense had great blocking from Anthony Bello, Jeremy Copolla, Hanny Akil, John Crispi, Donato Crisanti, Jesse Johnson, Jianni Snipes, Louis Mineri, Carter Longley and Stephen Mckinney.

10/16: The North Haven 7th grade improved their record to 6-1 with a 24-0 victory over Clinton. Jack Steinman ran it in from 14 yards to make it 6-0. Tommy Dodge found Max Sullivan on a 15-yard pass to go up 12-0. Bryce Brommel scampered in from 20 yards to put the Indians up 18-0. Mike Gagliardi return an interception 90 yards to finish the scoring for North Haven. Bryan Searles, Dustin Byrnes, and Paul Murray anchored an impressive offensive line. Defensively, Henry Pearson and Byrnes recovered fumbles. Alex Gordon and Omar Gebril played well on defense. The Indians will travel to Wallingford for a Saturday evening game.

Week 7

10/09: North Haven 4th grade B team won against Wallingford 34-12. The line on the offense side of the ball stepped up and gave the running backs great lanes to run through. Joe Urtel had an amazing day running the ball, he had a 12 yd. run for a touchdown. Ethan Okwuosa had an 85 yd. run for a touchdown. Max Rivera's run up the middle of the line added a 55 yd. touchdown. Tyler Jacques ran for 100+ yds. and had a 10 yd. run for a touchdown and Michael Esposito added the team's last touchdown of the day from 18 yds. out. Donny McInnis and Joe Vitale added the extra points to the score. On the defense side of the ball, the team stepped up once again. Mario D'Amore, John Degregorio had tackles for losses. Jaden Luedee had a fumble recovery and Donny McInnis had an amazing day at linebacker with 10 sacks behind the line of scrimmage.

Week 5

9/25: The 4th Grade A team suffered their first lost of the season playing a hard fought game with Madison. Joe Wenzel scored North Haven's lone touchdown with a 50 yard run in the second quarter, but Madison scored late in this game to earn the win.

9/25: The 8th Grade Indians improved to 3-1 with a 22 point win over East Haven. Five different Indian players scored TDs in the romp led by a pair by Connor Suraci who took the opening kickoff all the way back for his first and added another long run for a TD in the 2nd. Nick Ponzio ran for a touchdown in first quarter and Paul Brockamer added one from in close in the 2nd. Mike Montano and Emadi Okwuosa ran for third quarer scores and the second period also witnessed an Indian safety. Brendan Eckels was 4 of 6 on 2-pt kicks to round out the scoring.

Week 4

9/17: Jake Bencivengo had 3 long touchdowns, Gabe Martinez added another 2 with nice runs and Nick Perillie scored one in the fourth quarter as the 6th Grade Indians broke open a tight 22-19 game in the second half to rout East Haven 42-19. Mark Montano picked up 6 points with a 3 for 4 performance on 2-point extra point kicks.

9/16: The 8th Grade defending Shoreline Champion Indains took to the gridiron at the Yale Bowl to take on Madison, but came up short in a 30-16 game. The Indains responded to Madison's opening scoring drive to tie the game at 8-8 and were within 22-16 late, but just could not stop the running of Tiger QB Nick van Dell and running back Reid Sweitzer.
