11/18: After North Branford's first drive stalled, they had to punt it away. North Haven wasted no time getting on the board. Billy McDonald fired a 67 yard touchdown pass to Greg Volpe down the far right sideline and the Indians took a quick 6-0 lead. After a short kickoff, the Thunderbirds drove down into North Haven's red zone, but turned the ball over on downs inside the 10 yard line. The Indians ground out a 10 play, 90+ yard drive to eat up the rest of the first quarter, and culminated it with a 5 yard Joseph Burr touchdown around the left end.

11/18: Mark Zurlis drilled the 2 point conversion and the Indians took a 14-0 lead. North Branford put together another long drive in the second quarter and then turned it over, so the score remained 14-0 North Haven at the half. Early in the 3rd quarter, North Branford recovered a fumble in Indian territory, but could not convert. The Indians took over on downs at their own 37 yard line.

11/18: Mark Zurlis capped a 63 yard drive with a 2 yard TD and then converted the kick to put North Haven up 22-0 after 3. North Branford finally put together a drive to get on the board at 22-8, but the Indians would not quit. Greg Volpe had a 41 yard run and shortly after, Joe Schwab took a pitch and tore around the left side and scored an 11 yard TD to make it 28-8. The Thunderbirds scored with under a minute to go on a 54 yard pass play to close the scoring at 28-14.

11/11: The Senior Indians got pinned in near their 10 yard line on their first series and had to punt it to Cheshire, who scored first with the gift of good field position to take an early 6-0 lead. In the second period, the Indians put together a nice 80+ yard drive and scored on a Greg Volpe QB keeper to tie the score at 6. Mark Zurlis added the 2-point conversion for an 8-6 lead.

11/11: After quickly stopping Cheshire's next drive and forcing them to punt, the Indians went back to the ground and Cheshire just could not stop the up the middle pounding dished out by Mark Zurlis. Once across midfield, Greg Volpe connected on a nice 20 yard pass to Joe Schwab on 3rd and long, and Schwab faked out the defender and worked his way into the end zone for a TD and a 14-6 lead. A big 4th down stop late in the game by the Indians when Cheshire intruded into their red zone preserved the victory and has sent the Seniors to next week's Championship game.

11/11: The Youth B team lost a heart breaker today to Madison A, 7-6 in OT. A scoreless game saw North Haven take the ball at midfield and march down inside the 10 before turning the ball over on downs as regulation ended. The Tigers scored first in OT, and added the extra point which set up the game's final series. Michael McKenna scored a TD on a QB keeper, but then was stopped on the extra point attempt and this game ended, 7-6 in favor of Madison.

11/4: The Youth A team played a scoreless first quarter with Clinton today, and had the ball inside the Huskies' 10 yard line in the second quarter before turning it over on downs. Clinton turned it around and scored a TD right before the half on a 25 yard pass and took a 7-0 lead into the intermission.

11/4: North Haven had the ball inside Clinton's 10 twice more in the second half but just couldn't punch it in. The Huskies scored late in the fourth quarter on a 75 yard TD run and added a third TD as time expired to make the final, 20-0. (395 Photos)

11/4: The Youth B team earned another home playoff game by defeating Madison D 26-12 today.

10/28: In a rematch with last week's opponent, the North Haven Seniors repeated their performance against the Amity B Spartans. Mark Zurlis scored a pair of 1st quarter TDs and North Haven took control 14-0.

10/28: The Senior Indians took a 22-0 lead into half time and crusied to a 35-6 win.

10/28: The North Haven Junior B team put forth a valiant effort but came up short, losing to the Branford A Juniors 12-6 on the last play of the game - a 5 yard Branford TD pass. (349 Photos)

10/21: North Branford scored early and often in the first quarter - 30 points in total -and the Junior A team never recovered. The Thunderbirds did not let up all game, and added a 5th TD in the fourth quarter then took a knee on the point after to increase the final score to 36-0.

10/21: The Youth B Youth team raced out to a 19-0 halftime lead and then cruised to an easy win over East Haven B today.

10/21: Jordon Fredericks scored 3 touchdowns as the Youth B team clinched first place in the Black Division with their dominating 26-7 win over the Easties.

10/14: The Seniors played to a scoreless tie in the first quarter and then took over in the second. The Indians scored a pair of TDs and Mark Zurlis drilled a pair of extra points for a 16-0 North Haven lead at the half. (416 Photos)

10/14: The 3rd quarter continued to be dominated by the Indians, who scored again with a healthy dose of #33 - catching passes and running the ball - to take a 22-0 lead which proved to be the final score.

10/14: The Youth A team played valiantly in their loss to the undefeated Madison B team. Jeremy Imperati burst through the line and raced for a 45-yard TD in the 3rd quarter for North Haven's only score in a 19-6 defeat.

10/7: The Junior B Indians jumped out to a 32-0 3rd quarter lead and held on for a 32-13 win over the Branford B Juniors.

10/7: The Junior A team had an easy time with East Haven B on Sunday, racking up 5 touchdowns en route to a 35-6 victory. The defense held the Easties in check all day and  East Haven's only score came on a long kickoff return for a touchdown. 9/29: The Seniors scored early and often in Branford on their way to a commanding 20-0 halftime lead. The Indians' frontline defense gave Branford no time to do anything all night. The second half was more evenly played, but the final was 35-12, North Haven. (216 photos)

9/30: The Junior A team recovered today's opening kickoff when Branford couldn't handle it and went on to score a TD. Branford came right back to tie the score, which remained deadlocked until the Hornets moved the ball 94 yards in a time consuming drive to score the winning touchdown with only minutes left in the game. Final: 14-7 Branford.

9/30: Junior B played to a first half scoreless tie with Madison today, but the Jaguars scored a pair of TDs in the third quarter to take this game 12-0.

9/16: The Seniors scored on their opening possession, and then capitalized on a Madison turnover to take an early 13-0 first quarter lead, which they held into the fourth quarter. Madison scored a late TD and then kicked a 2 point conversion for a 14-13 win. (312 photos)

9/2: A 1st quarter TD put the North Haven B Youth team up 6-0 (middle picture). They were able to hold this lead, in a defensive struggle, until the fourth quarter when North Branford came back to tie the game at 6-6.
